20-45 min walk

8-20 min jog  – easy or medium (more inclines on Esker trail)

Not very bike friendly

*Click the map to access our interactive google map and find out how to get there.

Enter the parking lot off of Oakland St. Enter the trail on either side of the parking lot. The loop circumnavigates the lake, therefore, it’s easy to avoid getting lost! This is a beautiful trail for a jog — but watch out, it can get pretty buggy.

On the Eastern side of the lake, the Esker Trails are a lovely option for those of you looking for a walk with a view. While you walk along the ridges, think deeply about how only a mere couple of thousand years ago, the very ground you stand on was smooshed between two massive glaciers.

You may also notice a few fishers on the two bridges that cross either end of the pond. The pond is home to many bait fish, turtles, and birds. The waterfowl are not to be fed!!!

On the North end of the pond is the Ollie Turner Park. This is a great place for a picnic or a game of frisbee.

Next to the Ollie Turner Park lives the eutrophic portion of the Rosemary brook, pictured below. This excessive algae growth is due to runoff fertilizer from local Wellesley lawns. This type of interference with the ecosystem is fatal! See the Morses Pond page to learn how this negatively affects the organisms living in the brook.

If you are looking to extend your jog, get on the Charles River path and follow it to the Sudbury trail.
